Eid Al Fitar Program for 2019

 

The Association for the Care of Iraqis in Britain organized its annual celebration of Eid al-Fitr on Saterday 09/06/2019.

The ceremony was honored by a group of dignitaries from Iraqi and non-Iraqi families. The ceremony was attended by all members and volunteers. Dr. Abdul-Saheb Al-Radi, President of the Iraqi Welfare Association, expressed his happiness with the participation of a large number of the community. He asked the Almighty to accept the fasting and the observance of the holy month of Ramadan and stressed in turn the keenness of the Assembly to keep pace with various events. The ceremony included a charity market for Iraqi and Arab companies specializing in the fields of clothing, food, accessories and other products.

IWA 2019 EASTER TRIP
This year, over 50 families traveled to the beautiful Town in North Wales. Here they stayed at a highly rated caravan park which was a short distance from numerous tourist destinations.
Our families went to the Welsh Mountain Zoo and the Orme Railway and park for a day of family fun!
The trip was concluded with the competition of the best photography contest during the trip.

Annual Gala Dinner 2019

The Iraqi community in London participated in the event organized by Iraqi Welfare Association in London 2019.

The Iraqi Welfare Association organized its yearly even on Friday 18th January, 2019. The attendees were Iraqi families, leaders of civil society organizations, and the Mayor of Brent.

The event opened with the recitation of the Holy Quran, and was followed by the audience standing up in respect for the Iraqi national anthem.

The program included a variety of activities, such as the valuable words of the Mayor of Brent, and a speech by Mr. Nizar Murjan about the Iraqi Embassy in Britain, a speech by Emily Garthwaite about her journey to Iraq to 40th Muharam march, and the last speech of Dr. Abdul Sahib Al Radi the President of Iraqi Welfare Association.

Dinner was served with good reviews by the attendees, followed by a charity bazaar, and auction for orphans in Iraq.

The ceremony was celebrated by the Iraq Folk band Mesopotamian Sensation, led by Iraqi musician Tahir Barakat, and a number of guests who attended the event praised the brotherly ties between the Iraqi communities living in Britain.

The annual report of the Iraqi Welfare Association was presented, as well as the results of the election of the members of the administrative committee of the Assembly for 2019.

The ceremony was concluded with the presentation of gifts of appreciation to the ladies and gentlemen of the donors, who contributed in providing the society to provide services to the children of the community.

In conclusion, Mr. Emad Al-Abbadi, Director of the Association, thanked all the attendees, especially the trustees, volunteers and staff, for their great services to the generous community.

The Association for the Care of Iraqis in Britain organized its annual celebration of Eid al-Fitr on Sunday, 24/06/2018. The annual ceremony was this year and in cooperation with Arab schools Al-Nour, Huda, Jasmine, Farazadeq, Iman, Al-Amal, Mustafa and Wembley School.

The ceremony was honored by a group of dignitaries from Iraqi and non-Iraqi families. The ceremony was attended by all members and volunteers. Dr. Abdul-Saheb Al-Radi, President of the Iraqi Welfare Association, expressed his happiness with the participation of a large number of the community. He asked the Almighty to accept the fasting and the observance of the holy month of Ramadan and stressed in turn the keenness of the Assembly to keep pace with various events. The ceremony included a charity market for Iraqi and Arab companies specializing in the fields of clothing, food, accessories and other products.

 

Health Awareness day 2018

 

The Iraqi community in London participated in the event organized by Iraqi Welfare Association in London 2018.

The Iraqi Welfare Association organized its Health Awareness Day on Sunday 9th September, 2018. The attendees were Iraqi families, leaders of civil society organizations, and the Mayor of Brent.

The event opened with the recitation of the Holy Quran.

The program included a variety of activities, such as the valuable words of the Mayor of Brent, and the last speech of Dr. Abdul Sahib Al Radi the President of Iraqi Welfare Association.

The ceremony was concluded with the presentation of gifts of appreciation to the outstanding students in stages of GCSE and A Level.

In conclusion, Mr. Emad Al-Abbadi, Director of the Association, thanked all the attendees, especially the trustees, volunteers and staff, for their great services to the generous community.
